Animal Shelter Grand Opening: Saturday, September 26th
You’re invited to the Grand Opening & Leash Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, September 26th! Join us as we celebrate our new home and the next chapter for Grand County Pet Pals.
The Walk 10-11am:
Join us for a celebratory walk from the old shelter to the new shelter. It’s about 1.3 miles one way. Wear your Grand Opening shirt! We have a few shirts left that will be available for purchase before the walk and at the shelter. Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be leashed at all times and cannot enter the new shelter. Our dog wranglers will care for them while you tour the facility.
Celebration 11-12pm:
Leash Cutting Ceremony! Tour our beautiful new shelter and see what you’ve helped make possible. Bid on amazing Silent Auction items. Check out the Wall of Honor Pet Tags and honor a beloved pet. Enjoy some light refreshments while you celebrate with fellow animal lovers.
PARKING: Parking at the new Animal Shelter will be very limited for the grand opening ceremony tomorrow due to sports events at Kaibab Park, so the Town of Granby is offering a free shuttle for those attending. Park either at the old Animal Shelter or at the Granby Fire Station and take the free shuttle, available from 10:00am-12:00pm to transport guests.
Thank You! This milestone wouldn’t be possible without you. Thank you for your encouragement, your donations, and your unwaivering support – especially over these past 4 years. We can’t wait to celebrate this exciting new beginning with you!
See you there!
August 9, 2025: Doggie Dash @ Sun Outdoors
The 2025 Doggie Dash was held at Sun Outdoors on August 9th, 2025. We had over 100 participants and countless adorable pups filling the park with tail wags and smiles. A huge thank you to our sponsors, everyone who donated to the silent auction, our participants, our incredible volunteers, and Sun Outdoors Rocky Mountains for making it all possible. You’re the reason it was such a perfect day – our supporters are truly the best!
Here’s some fun pics of the event!
A fun 2k/5k Run/Walk event, the Doggie Dash is a fundraiser that benefits animals in Grand County by providing financial assistance for spay/neuter surgeries and one-time urgent care for pet owners with financial need, as well as supporting the construction costs of the new animal shelter building.
