Spaying or neutering your pet is one of the best ways to prevent unwanted animals from ending up at an animal shelter. It is a simple way to help keep millions of animals from being put to death annually merely because they are homeless.
Our mission is to end the suffering of innocent dogs and cats by reducing the number of unwanted births.
Our goal is to make spay and neuter services affordable to those who might not otherwise spay or neuter their pets. By working together with the community, we hope to popularize and facilitate spay and neuter services and end pet overpopulation throughout the county.
Throughout the month of February 2020, we will be handing out a total of 50, $150 off spay/neuter vouchers for your dog (one voucher per household), 50, $75 off spay/neuter vouchers for your cat, and 50, $25 rabies vaccination vouchers (one voucher per household). These will only be handed out on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Grand County Animal Shelter (no exceptions) throughout the month of February. First come, first serve. You will have 30 days from the date of issue to use them. Only stipulation in receiving these vouchers is you have to purchase a county tag for your dog. The tags are only $5 if your dog is fixed and $10 if they are intact. The shelter takes cash or a check for the county tags. The county ordinance is your dog must display a current rabies vaccination and a current county tag on their collar at all times.
