Dedicated to responsible pet ownership, animal health and education programs, and spay/neuter of pets in Grand County.

The Grand County Animal Shelter hours are 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment only on Saturday and Sunday. It always is a good idea to call first as Shelter Staff may get called away unexpectedly.

Grand Dog ElectionLet the voting begin!!  The Grand Dog Election starts on May 1, 2012.  Get all the information here...and then start rounding up the votes!

Gas Powered Lawn Mower Needed!If you have a gas powered lawn mower you no longer need, the Shelter would love to have it to keep the new dog play area mowed down.  Call the Shelter if you can help out!
